In May, 2021 I was painting with a group of artists along the coast of North Carolina. One of the mornings I stumbled upon a boat yard, full of boats of all sizes and shapes in for repair. These scenes have a different abstract quality to them. They’re not your typical landscape design, so I can think outside the box with the composition. Boats have a definite anatomy about them. It's easy to get the drawing wrong. They're great lessons in drawing.
